Hi folks,
I apologise, but I had to stop the spambots from adding any more rubbish messages on this messageboard, unfortunatly this meant disabling the add new message to the messageboard feature :(. I will be creating a 'proper' logon area soon which will enable registered users to post messages (and probably more!) :)
Thanks
Paul

My great, great grandmother, Charlotte Carter was born in West Tarring as was her sister, Mary Ann. Charlotte was born in 1829 - ish. Are there any descendants of hers still there?

Hi All,
Sorry there has been a fair amount of spam messages on this board recently, I delete them when I see it, but I guess really I need to put in an authentication thing so that it is not so easy to auto-submit messages. Hmmm well if I'm going to do that then why not re-do the whole site; yes I am planning to! Will hopefully do so soon. If I didn't have to work I would have enough time!. Anyhoo enjoy the current site for it may not last long in this guise!

Regards

Paul

Hi, I live in Princess Avenue and was wondering if anyone knew why it terminates in such a bizarre mannor? Perhaps there was a grand plan for it at some stage?

Hi Dave,

Hmm nice Vale site!

I think you'll find, sonny, that the counter is not the usual economy 'refresh the page and the number goes up' type ones, no, the counter on this site is based on IP and increments based on different IPs loggin on! Ok, as I write this the homepage counter is 6415, lets see if it is the same next time I check in!

Cheers buddy

Hi Stacey,
I have not heard of the ghost in The Parsonage (actually it's a restaurant), sounds cool though. Obviously ghosts would leave shoes in cabinets, it is like a fun game they play!?!
Hmm I'll have a look/ask around to see if anyone knows anything about it, Google comes up blank so I'll have to query locals!

Cheers

I am sitting in front of my PC with the lovely winter sun beaming in my office window. Thoughts turning to long, hot balmy summer days and evenings (we all hope). I shall be enjoying life bowling and having a pint behind the Church in Tarring Village - home of Tarring Priory Bowls Club. Would you like to join us? We are a club for all ages (currently teenage up to 90 ) and have a full calendar of competitive and social bowling. Think about it and get in touch early to enable you to join in with us come the start of the season in late April.
Have a look at our website and if interested contact one of the Committee by clicking on a link on the Officers and Committee page.
We look forward to hearing from you.

Indeed 'Kel' while I may net be so bothered about where the 'sexy men' are, it would be good to have some, and also sexy ladies, just to be fair! :) (but then I guess they would all go off with each other and leave the rest of us alone again!) Hmmm...
Ok I have no idea who 'Luke Panter' is, but from that ultra-brief description he sounds silly!
Jodi, what, we village folk are of course slightly mentally sideways, but that's no bad thing. Yes I agree the guys in Threshers are no-where near as hot as when I was working there! :P Which woman are you referring to?

Hey everyone else, enjoy the lovely winter weather and singing lovely carols!

Hi,

Wow, how incredibly spookey(?), Paul W Curtis, no Paul D curtis is much better!

Erm yes well lob the photos at me then I will do something with them.
Yes, the reason the photos on the Threshold site are no longer there is because they used a Javascript backend to display the correct pic while hovering on a name and now the latest version of the Web Browsers 'don't like it' so I removed that and am intending to just put a group photo up!

Keep well y'all

Paul

You should put the May Camp pictures on this site!
Left By: AnonOn: 2005-07-21

Hi Ollie,

I haven't seen them either you cheery little cheeky chap! I must remember to ask 'Richie G' to bring them on Sunday (but I'll probably forget, so remind me!)

As for all this Park business, I agree it is all rather S**tty at the moment, but so are some of the streets, why bother collecting (sh)it in a bag if you leave the bag there... this causes explosions if ridden over and that's messy.

If you manage to get any pics we could post them on this site so people can name and shame them!

Cheers

Paul

Dear "very annoyed father",

I hate those stinking mutleys too. But I also hate those scrotty chav gits that vandalise the park and the roads around it, shouting into their mobiles outside my window at 2:00 in the morning.

Unfortunately I'm not allowed to go and "remonstrate with them in the strongest terms possible" as I'd probably get put away. And if I asked them to shut the **** up or **** off (or even just politely say please be quiet) all I'd get for my trouble is a brick through my window(s).

Still, I love living here despite that.

Hope you have some success with your digicam. Not quite sure how the police (actually it's the council environmental health officer you need to talk to) are supposed to identify the suspects if they're not already on file, but good luck anyway.

WHAT IS WRONG WITH DOG OWNERS IN THIS VILLAGE? TARRING PARK IS A DISGRACE. YET AGAIN MY KIDS HAVE TRODDEN AND FALLEN IN DOG MESS. YOU SHOULD ALL BE ASHAMED OF YOUR BLATENT LACK OF REGARD FOR OTHER PEOPLE. I SHALL NOW BE TAKING A DIGITAL CAMERA WITH ME TO THE PARK AND SHALL REPORT TO THE POLICE ANYONE I SEE NOT CLEARING UP AFTER THIER DOG ( I SAW SEVERAL TODAY).

Hi There all,
i recently spoke to father richard Jervis in reference to the Job at St Andrew's for a youth worker. I am currently waiting for the info to arrive but just thought I'd find out what you guys think of West Tarring as a place and if any of you go to the Church what you guys are wanting from a new youth worker.

A short bit about me -- I am 25, male (obviously from the name) and am married to Lou. We have a little boy called Reece who is nearly 4 and lou is pregnant and is due in march 2005. I am currently working in London as a parish youth worker but we both came from Havant area originally. i went to School in Chichester (Bishop luffa) and we really want to be back near the Sea,

Well thats a little of me. if you wanna get in touch and let me know the goss that would be great. you can do so by emailing vince_xstream@btinternet.com
