NOTES |
||
| 1. | We have an active Choir of about 20 adults and 14 juniors, which sings at the majority of Sunday and Festal services. John Wardle has been Choir Director since August 2002. For more information, see the choir pages. | |
| 2. | For some Sunday services (generally alternate Family Services and also Evensong on the third Sunday of the month) the music is provided by the Excelsis Singers. Occasionally, both the Choir and Excelsis sing at a service. | |
| 3. | For banns, wedding and baptism enquiries, please contact the Rector at the above address. Advice on preparing for these occasions is also available from the Church of England web site. | |
| 4. | More details are available in the Parish Magazine, published at the beginning of each month, current (October 2009) price 40p. | |

The market, which is held by the Parish Church annually under a Royal Charter,
normally takes place on the
first Saturday in June at The Old Palace in Glebe Road, West Tarring. The management of this market is now undertaken by the
Parochial Church Council (PCC).
In recent years, the stalls, providing gifts, cakes, preserves, bric-a-brac, a grand draw, games, garden plants, books, toys, handicrafts and refreshments,
have realised about £5,000 each year. Some of this money has been used for repairs and improvements to the fabric of the church building. In 2009
the total proceeds were £5,614, of which one-third was
given to the Saint Barnabas Hospice in Worthing.
